UK Government - Fund the construction of a new railway line to Louth

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The UK Government should look into providing the funding needed to construct a new railway line to the town of Louth in Lincolnshire.

The old rail line which served the town has been built on/over in multiple places, and is no longer viable/feasible to use/re-open.

Louth needs a rail link!
I think the UK Government/Parliament should provide the funding required to construct a new railway line to the town of Louth in Lincolnshire as the town would really benefit from being reconnected to the rail network.

I have a campaign/petition to re-open the former East Lincolnshire Railway line between Louth, and Firsby which was closed on the 5th October 1970, and Louth - Grimsby to all traffic on the 20th December 1980.

Please consider this to become a reality as Louth does need this!
