Make first aid mandatory in schools

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

My 11 yr old son saved my life while having a stroke and seizures from simply watching a TV programme helicopter ER, and from me telling him a few basics, if it wasn't for him acting so fast I could of been alot worse. First aid is so important, please help me make this happen.
You never know when a medical emergency might happen and you or a loved one will need first aid

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The Government's new Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education curriculum requires that all students be taught first aid in primary and secondary schools.

Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education curriculum here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/908013/Relationships_Education__Relationships_and_Sex_Education__RSE__and_Health_Education.pdf
