Make A Seperate A&E Department For The Old People, People Aged Over 65

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Its absolutely traumatising seeing people triple my age wait longer than me, when they are in more pain.
I was in the A&E department, and there was a 80 year old who was on his wheel chair for around 8 hours, he was going all pale, seeing his situation made me want to cry. He had no one to talk to.
Quicker and faster treatment.
Creates more jobs.
Gives the elderly a say and a position in society.
Reputation of the NHS increases.
More jobs mean more people pay income TAX.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about Accident and Emergency facilities are a matter for individual NHS Trusts, not the UK Government or Parliament. We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide additional funding for NHS A&E services for over 80s, if that's something you want to happen.
