License hunting in the UK with Compound bows and Cross bows

Closed 167 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government should introduce a licensing scheme to allow people who have taken the appropriate training to bow hunt for game animals such as Deer species, pheasants and turkeys, excluding badgers, foxes and fish. Many countries allow bow hunting, but not the UK, and it shouldn’t be that way
I believe it would be a great thing for the archery community, to allow them to not have to pay awful amounts of money to go abroad just to hunt, to allow hunters to be able to stay in their country, and go back to the roots of how we used to get food, and also to get people out and in the country and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
