What the petition asks

Rename Kensington palace gardens, location of the Russian embassy to reflect the current political situation we should change the name of all streets that house Russian government offices and renamed them after Ukrainian places and or famous Ukrainian people

This reflects the current and ongoing attitude towards the Russian invasion and is another way of showing our nations support for the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russia

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about local road names are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.
