What the petition asks

The Government has decided to ban gay conversion therapy; while welcomed, they have elected to not ban Transgender conversion therapy as well. This compromise on their promise to end the practice for all of the LGBTQ+ community is a monstrous betrayal and should be overturned immediately.

Conversion therapy is a cruel practice that legalises physical and mental torture onto children and young adults who are exploring their identity. To ban it for some but not all of the LGBTQ+ community is unethical, barbaric and spits in the face of all transgender people. Allowing children to explore their gender identity should be celebrated, not treated as a disease to be cured. Do not continue to leave the transgender community behind. Trans liberation now.
