Do more to help face the rising costs of living.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

The people of Britain want the government to do more to help face the ridiculous rise in the cost of living. E.g. Green energy sources to bring the energy prices down, reduce the energy cap, reduce the fuel tax, reduce VAT. Increase minimum wage further.
People cannot afford to pay 54% more for their energy, ontop of the increase in fuel, rent, council tax, water, phones and worst of all food. The people of Britain should not be put in a position where they must chose between their heating and their food. People can't afford to fill their cars to get to and from work. Britain used to be great, now we are heading further and further into poverty!

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you're concerned about the cost of living, however it's not clear what action you want the Government to take regarding 'green energy sources'. Further, the level of the energy price cap is set by Ofgem, the independent regulator for energy markets, not the UK Government.
