What the petition asks
Channel 4 is commercially run, funded by advertising revenue. It should remain publicy owned.
Channel 4 is a national asset and should be preserved. The government should not privatise Channel 4. From Come Dine With Me to Countdown, Gogglebox to Father Ted, publicly owned Channel 4 has kept us entertained and informed since 1982.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
