Hold a public inquiry into treatment of care home residents during the pandemic

What the petition asks
Over the last two years, care home residents have been isolated and denied contact with their loved ones, severely effecting their quality of life. We want a public inquiry, so that decision makers are held to account, and lessons are learned for the future.
Remembering my father, in care with dementia and living only for his children's visits, and on behalf of other care home residents and their loved ones throughout the country, I call for accountability.
We need to know how these restrictions - which I believe were cruel and unnecessary - were allowed to be imposed on care home residents, so that we can make sure it never happens again.
