Enforce airports and airlines to refund missed flights due to over crowding

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

There are major flaws in the airport and flying experience and many customers are missing flights due to extreme over crowding that cannot be managed effectively. This is not covered by insurance and the airports and airlines are dodging responsibility. How do customers get their money back?
I have approached insurers, customer services and the high level executives for consideration of refunding my payment for a service I didn’t receive due to clear mismanagement of the Airport facility. I believe the airports and airlines should be enforced to address this properly rather than list out excuses for why they are under performing, and blame each other for the issues we face. They should be enforced to evolve their policies and refund services they cannot fulfil.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Passengers already have rights to compensation and/or refunds in the event of delays or cancellation of a flight. Passenger rights depend on the length of delay and type of flight.

You can find out more about your rights, and how to enforce these, here: https://www.caa.co.uk/passengers/resolving-travel-problems/delays-and-cancellations/

We can accept petitions calling for changes to air passenger rights to refunds and compensations, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to be made to existing rules.
