Petition to ask the Speaker to bring a motion of no confidence in HM Government
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Upon receiving the requisite number of signatories, for the Speaker of the House of Commons to use his discretion and table of motion of no confidence in HM Government, in light of The Rt Hon Boris Johnson and The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak receiving a Fixed Penalty Notice for breaching COVID-19 Regulations
Any Conservative Member of Parliament, whether they have voted against the Whip or not before, cannot truly expect their constituents to be happy with or accept that breaching the COVID19 rules as they have, the PM or Chancellor, should remain in office. It is simply incomprehensible for them to do so.
Transparency of the Met, in issuing fines, to those who were found to be in breach, there has to be an understanding that the PM and the Chancellor should be held to a higher level.

Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for MPs or Ministers to be sacked or for them to resign, which includes votes of no confidence.
