Hold a public inquiry into "partygate" and how it has been investigated

What the petition asks
To protect our democracy, we believe a full public inquiry needs to be held to establish the extent of wrongdoing, and also how allegations of illegal social gatherings in government buildings have been investigated, both within government and by the police.
The Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer have been fined for breaches of the COVID-19 lockdown rules. Yet the full extent of breaches of the law is unknown to the public. Additionally, it is unknown why the Metropolitan Police did not take action at the time.
A public inquiry is required to determine the extent of wrongdoing, and how allegations of wrongdoing have been investigated.
