Reduce the speed limit of Newcastle Road, Hough from 40mph to 30mph
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
The speed limit as it stands through the village of Hough is 40mph, we would like it reduced to 30mph as we have some very bad bends and junctions on them. We are a built up residential area. We have no public crossing in the Hough.
We would want the government/parliament to consider our petition as we have already had pets killed on the road, and we want change as somebody will be killed. We have a lot of elderly and children in our village.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
