Review the fostering system to make it fairer and faster

What the petition asks
The Government should work with local authorities to review the fostering system, to consider:
- How the time it takes to foster a child can be reduced
- Whether additional training for staff could help ensure children are placed with good carers
- How the transfer of children can be made easier.
The process is taking far too long and can take up to 18 months in some cases, which can change the minds of good carers from secure and loving backgrounds.
