Prioritise issuing U.K. spouse visas

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

The war in Ukraine has meant that there are massive backlogs in issuing U.K. visas. One of the routes most affected are spouse visas. Some people have been waiting more than 18 weeks whereas the standard waiting time is up to 12 weeks. Spouse visas need to be prioritised, and processed immediately.
People have been waiting months and have been away from their loved ones. The delays are causing great anxieties for people who have paid thousands of pounds for the pleasure of being reunited with their spouses. The government needs to act swiftly and prioritise spouse visas. And provide a timeline and more information on when visas will be issued.
