What the petition asks
The UK Government should officially rename the early May bank holiday, at the beginning of May, 'Union Day' to celebrate the anniversary of the 1707 Acts of Union.
The United Kingdom is one of the most successful union of nations in history. This should be marked with a named day on which people can celebrate all that is good about our country.
