Prioritise passports and Emergency travel docs for British babies born overseas.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Our baby was born whilst we were out of the UK. HMPO say it’s a 16 weeks wait for our passport (without delays).

HM Passport Office won’t fast track applications for babies born outside the UK.

Foreign office won’t issue ‘emergency travel document’ to come home.
Families face months stuck overseas, unable to return to UK, to jobs, families or to access NHS care for the baby.

HMPO and FCDO refuse to assist saying we don’t meet criteria to be fast tracked or that the situation doesn’t meet their threshold on compassionate grounds.

Passport office should fast track applications for British babies born whilst overseas to return them and their parents home.

Foreign office should accept this situation as reason to issue emergency travel documents.
