Stop the suspension of all SOPA courses at The University of Wolverhampton!

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

65% of SOPA students at The University of Wolverhampton are from the West Midlands. We want the suspension of these higher education courses to be stopped and the risk of job redundancy eliminated. Help the alumni and future students achieve their creative dreams.
On 16th May 2022, The University of Wolverhampton announced that they will be suspending and removing 47 courses across SOPA. Courses that have not only benefit current and past students academically but mental and physically too. The suspension of these course limits not only potential and current student in the West Midlands but those outside of the midlands. There’s so much that the midlands has to offer and it’s being ripped from under our feet!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about running particular courses are a matter for individual universities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
