Eligibility for free prescriptions to individuals with Parkinson's disease
Rejected

What the petition asks
Currently individuals with Parkinsons disease have to pay for their medication! Parkinsons is a progressive lifelong condition and Parkinsons should be under the same bracket as other lifelong conditions and individuals should recieve free NHS prescriptions.
Many individuals who recieve a Parkinsons diagnosis may in time become unable to work meaning they have to choose what they spend their money on. Individuals with Young onset Parkinsons imparticular may struggle with work and have young families to provide for and therefore may put their family first leaving them unable to afford their own medication. Parkinsons needs more awareness and it is very overlooked especially young onset.
