Give every school in the country study leave as some school's have not got it

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

To allow year 11's to get study leave for the remainder of the current 2022 exam syllabus as a decent proportion of schools have not been granted study leave.

And to also grant compulsory study leave for every year 11, every year in the future
Grant compulsory study leave for every year 11 in every school every year so that year 11's can have a more structured revision schedule and revise without the distraction of school or being made to do work for other subjects that year 11's don't currently have an exam on. As studies show year 11's get better GCSE results when they are granted study leave as their revision is structured unlike not getting study leave and still having to come into school

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions on how to help students to prepare for exams, including any changes to attendance requirements or timetabling such as granting study leave, are a matter for individual schools.

In addition, people who create petitions are required to give their full name before their petition can be published.
