To Reform The General Medical council's investigating process against doctors.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The General Medical council's investigatory process should be made more transparent, simpler and with a proportionate response when comes to punishing doctors for trivial, non clinical and non patient related issues.
General Medical council has shown significant discrepancies and discrimination against Doctor from Overseas . Number of cases where GMC it self admitted they have made grave errors and acknowledged the disproportionate number of overseas medical graduates being penalised .
Public money and time being misused to prosecute doctors for various trivial , non clinical & managerial mishaps .
This not only a waste of resources but take the healthcare professionals out of the frontline work.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is a matter for General Medical Council, rather than the Government or Parliament. The GMC is entirely independent from the Government.
