Stop Pollok Country Park applying Car Parking Charges

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Pollok Country Park is Glasgow's largest park and the only Country Park within Glasgow.

Parking charges will apply from 6th April 2022

At a time when people are struggling to survive Glasgow City Council place further restrictions on the poor.
I want the Government to reconsider and scrap these charges. It is absolutely diabolical that the people of Scotland should be charged to visit a country park.
Actions speak louder than words, if the Government have genuine concern for the people this needs to be scrapped with immediate effect.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about local parking charges are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.
