What the petition asks
Make it mandatory for fast food chains to offer a Gluten free menu/options on their menu. This allows those who suffer from Coeliac Disease to have a greater option of where to eat out.
Coeliacs Disease is an Auto Immune disorder affecting 1 in every 100 people, likely underestimated. The only treatment is a strict Gluten free Diet.
Coeliacs can cause acid reflux which long term can cause Barrett’s Oesophagus, but it can also slightly increase the risk of developing enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and adenocarcinoma of the small intestine.
Fast food chains offer vegan options which is a life choice. Gluten free is a health requirement.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about whether to offer vegan or gluten-free options are a matter for individual businesses, not the UK Government or Parliament.
