Reduce fuel prices with immediate effect by cutting fuel duty by 30%

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Reduce fuel prices with immediate effect by cutting fuel duty by 30% for 12 months to ease the burden on everyday householders
Fuel prices are spiralling out of control and everyday workers, households, businesses are finding it impossible to meet the costs. Fuel companies are making obscene profits off the back of these record prices and a cap on profits could help fund the lost revenue the government will lose by reducing duty.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure if you want the Government to reduce fuel duty, cap profits on fuel, both, or do something else.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
