Increase the 45p tax-free approved mileage allowance to help social care workers

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Increase the tax free amount for millage for all social care workers.
Working in social care we drive many miles a day, we currently get a rate of 45p per mile, with the increase on the price of fuel this has to be increased, many staff are leaving social care for single placement jobs, if this continues the role of social carers will come to an end as we can not afford to go to work. If this happens the only people who will suffer is the individuals who we care for.
