What the petition asks
cap the price of fuel to stop stations charging prices set by the owners with the state of play by capping the price of a litre would make it fair across the country
by capping the price of a litre of fuel would make the cost of living fair for all with in a 5 mile radius here the difference is 18p from the dearest to the cheapest when the fuel is all the same
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for. The Government isn't responsible for setting the price of fuel and energy, which is a matter for suppliers.
