Prevent landlords giving notice to tenants who are pregnant or have an infant

What the petition asks
We need specific protections for anyone expecting a baby, or has an infant, from being given notice by their landlord.
Shelter is a human right and so is feeling safe in your home. The last thing anyone needs before giving birth, or when they have a young child, is dealing with being given notice.
Being pregnant means you're more vulnerable and the new arrival of a baby brings enough responsibility, change and stress.
A landlord can give notice of 2 months to any assured shorthold tenant, regardless of their circumstances. No one should have to deal with being given notice just before or just after having a baby.
