What the petition asks

3: Increase Military Forces Levels (Strengths and Equipment), to reflect all realistic current threats

Regular Forces have been depleted over many Governments, in part due to the supposed !Peace Dividend’ of the late 20th Century.
The Ukraine conflict, and Russia, et al’s resurgent aggression, military ambition, and asymmetric attack policy/ strategy, require UK to ensure that OUR ‘military response capability’ is adequate to ANY (reasonably) predictable events including Armed Hostility, and Natural Disasters.
The world is now more dangerous, than it has been for many decades!

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure if you'd like the defence cuts to be reviewed, or if you'd like them to be reversed - in which case it's not clear what the review would entail.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
