Legal requirement for farms to give cows grass to graze for 6 months of the year

Closed 54 signatures

What the petition asks

Make it a legal requirement for farms to give their cows the space to graze in fields for atleast 6 months of the year.

Just like there is a legal requirement of 1 stall to lay in per indoor cow, give 6.5 square metres of grassland per cow for them to graze in for atleast 6 months of each year.
It's a given. Time outside is a human right, so why is it not a sentient animal's right too? Even prisoners get their hours yard time a day!
Cows provide milk, leather, meat & calves & in return, we should be providing them with excellent healthcare & access to grassland.
Lots of farmers have the land but they use it for growing cow's feed, so they can double up on indoor cows & push them to their absolute limits in mucky concrete sheds for more profit!
