What the petition asks
We want the Government to increase the penalties that apply to knife crime offence, to help keep our streets and cities safe. We believe current penalties, and stop and search, doesn't adequately tackle knife crime.
London has recorded its worst-ever annual death toll from teenage homicides, with a total of 30 boys and young men killed in 2021. Most of those who died were victims of knife crime.
We want the Government to take action to help protect everyone from knife crime.
