Fund fruit trees for public parks and green spaces

Closed 78 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government should fund schemes to plant edible fruit trees in public green spaces and parks. This would help those who are struggling for food to eat something even if it is just a piece of fruit.
Following the cost of living crisis, it makes logical sense to help tackle this with the introduction of fruit trees in parks such as apple trees. Not only is this good for the environment but will also help tackle the shortage of food and provide the public with a form of natural food.
