SAVE BANGLADESH
Rejected

What the petition asks
Pledge Emergency aid and support to victims of extreme flooding in Bangladesh - a key exporter of clothing bringing billions to UK economy. Victims will require support with locating their families, accessing clean drinking water, emergency rehousing, food, clothes, medical treatment and relocating.
Bangladesh is the leader in garment manufacturing and it boosts the UK economy. H&M, Boohoo, ASOS, ZARA, Gap all use Bangladeshi factories to produce their clothes. We must support them through this environmental & humanitarian crisis caused by climate change and global warming. We rely on Bangladesh for its affordable labour and it is in our best interests to save this country from going under water. Bangladesh is projected to become a low-middle income country by 2026 and is tackling poverty.
