What the petition asks

Legalize the production, consumption, and sale of cannabis and cannabis-related products to open a new market which could aid in creating more jobs that could assist in the current situation we are experiencing financially.

Changing the policy on cannabis can aid the country in the form of an additional tax source as is with tobacco products while also stopping an income source that the black market uses without paying their cut.
The policy change would also allow for the substance to be safer.
