Reduce or remove VAT from sales of Automated External Defibrillators (AED)

What the petition asks
Approximately, 30,000 cardiac arrests occur every year in the UK. If a defibrillator is used with effective CPR the chance of survival significantly increases.
VAT at the standard rate is added to sales of Automated External Defibrillators.
VAT should be reduced or zero rated to make these lifesaving devices more affordable.
This should encourage more businesses and individuals to fund these, making them widely available and helping to save lives.
