Increase funding for diagnosis and treatment of speech and language needs

Additional funding should also be provided to local services who run speech and language therapy classes, support groups and outreach programmes for parents of children with speech and language needs. Early intervention is key.

My daughter is 2, and is in the process of having a EHCP drafted, but accessing speech and language therapy has been difficult, and without the therapy we cannot finalise the plan. We believe additional funding will help pay for more spaces for speech and language therapy classes. We deserve better care and more support.
