To change the law, to make it a hate crime to discriminate nursing Mums

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Some still it okay to ban or have removed a nursing Mum feeding her baby. Still others seem to think it is fine to approach a nursing Mum and comment how inappropriate it is. If a nursing Mum is made anxious or upset feeding her baby it can affect her and the baby.
Breast feeding should be allowed in all public and non public places. It should be protected in law. Surely is deserves to be a protected characteristic that a nursing Mum cannot be discriminated against or harrassed while nursing her child

Please make it a hate crime to carry out such behaviours against nursing Mums

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

It's already the case that new mothers are protected against discrimination. You can read more here:

If you'd like something different, you could start a new petition setting out clearly what you'd like to change.
