Dogs , Pets of any kind are not just PETS they are our Family we make a bond with these animals and are heartbroken when we lose them just as much as when a relative passes away. We need time to grieve for the loss of a Pet and come to terms with it just as much as when a relative passes away Make it a legal obligation for Employers to give staff compassionate leave when they lose a most dearly loved pet.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We are sorry to hear about the loss of your pet, but we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a decision for individual employers.
