Boris Johnson to step down before summer recess

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

It is not viable for Boris Johnson to remain as Prime Minister until after the summer recess. The government, the people of the United Kingdom and our international allies require a functioning government now - in July - not in October.
Events have now transcended partisan politics, internal tory party politics; the functioning of our democracy and international standing is now being irrevocably damaged with every hour that Boris Johnson remains in power. We have a non-functioning cabinet and government

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

We can't accept petitions about appointments. That includes calling for a Minister to be removed from their job.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.

You could have a petition calling for a general election to be triggered if a Prime Minister leaves office, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
