Create a regulator for courier companies and impose stricter penalties

What the petition asks
The Government should create a regulator for courier companies with the power to:
- investigate customer service and any allegations of criminality such as the theft of parcels; and
- impose tough penalties breaching these new regulations, up to companies being forcefully shut down.
This regulator would then refer cases of criminality to the police. Too many people’s belongings are being damaged or lost. People who are unwilling or unable to go through the courts process are losing money to companies worth millions of pounds who don’t face strong enough penalties to incentivise better service.
