Suspend leaving payments for Ministers leaving office from July-September 2022

What the petition asks
Severance payments of 25% salary are made when they resign or are sacked irrespective of the period they have been in office. We believe these payments should be suspended for any Ministers who leave office between July and September 2022.
We have witnessed ministers in post for less than three days but still be entitled to these 'severance payments'. We believe this is an unacceptable use of public funds when many families are struggling with cost of living increases.
Given the number of Ministers who have resigned or been sacked in recent weeks, and the likelihood of further ministerial changes when a new Prime Minister is appointed, the Government should amend the Ministerial and other Pensions and Salaries Act 1991 so that Ministers who leave office between July and September 2022 are not eligible for these payments.
