Create an ‘Adult ADHD strategy’ to improve diagnosis and treatment

Closed 3,254 signatures

What the petition asks

The Govt should create an adult ADHD strategy, informed by an independent review of NHS diagnosis and treatment, to:
- Diagnose by lowering assessment wait time to 6 months; give pre-diagnosis support
- Inform patients & public about adult ADHD & end discrimination
- Support patient self-management

Neglecting adults with ADHD is damaging to both the individual and society. These adults deserve and are entitled to support.
Particularly for undiagnosed or untreated ADHD, research shows an increased risk of:
debt, divorce, suicide, unemployment, addiction, criminal conviction, educational and career underperformance - further burdening society and damaging others.
Diet, exercise, meditation, coaching all help greatly.
Act now and save society the massive moral and financial cost of inaction.
