Make it compulsory for refuse workers to wear shorts in hot climatic weather.

What the petition asks
I want the government and parliament to put through wearing shorts for all refuse workers across Britain in the summer months and make it compulsary and make it a law for the rights of the workers and for the health and safety of staff.
I want the government/parliament to do it as companys are not listening to there employees pleas on the subject
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for. Decisions about uniforms for workers, including relaxing requirements to wear uniforms in hot weather, are a matter for individual employers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
Employers already have legal obligations to ensure the health and safety of their workers, and the Health and Safety Executive has published guidance on how to respond to the effects of the weather, which you can read here: https://www.hse.gov.uk/temperature/outdoor.htm
