Bring forward general elections to 2022

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

The government to fastrack the 2024/25 General election to take place sooner and allow for the democratic election of a new government.
Boris Johnson has been ousted by his own party and we now face the potential of having Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak running the country for the next two years with no input from the general population for whom they serve. Due to the unprecedented disruption and change within the fabric of the Tory party, the UK population should have the right to choose whether or not the Tory party continues to lead for the proceeding two years, by opening the vote for the next prime minster to the general public.
