Allow Parents Legal Access To Medical Records & DNA Of Their Deceased Child

What the petition asks
I would like the Government to allow parents the legal right to access their deceased child's medical records and test their child's DNA if they so require, regardless of the age of that child.
Disease-related death is very common, leaving some parents with unanswered questions because they can't access their deceased child’s medical records. ONS have recorded that in the year ending March 2020, female victims were more commonly killed by a partner, ex-partner or a family member. BBC reported that 173 people were killed in domestic violence-related homicides. In cases where the deceased's next of kin is not the parent, the parent is denied access to medical records.
