Allow Hire & Reward Insurance holders to use Loading Bays and Taxi Lanes

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

1) Change the use of Loading Bay law that H&R policy holders would be allowed to use them too.
2) Consider H&R insurance holders as Taxis, or "Authorized Vehicles" so they can use dedicated roads

Civil Enforment Officers and ANPR system could have access to insurance database to check drivers
H&R Insurance is mandatory for last mile delivery work. These two changes would:
- make delivery workers job more efficient
- improves economy for all relevant parties
- reduce traffic
- improves health and safety (hot food order arrives faster to customer)
- reduces confrontations with Civil Enforcement Officers and public members
- reduce fraudulent behaviour because many gig workers aren't working with correct insurance.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about who can use loading areas and designated lanes on local roads are a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
