Run Eat Responsibly campaign and require labels on meat, egg and dairy products

Closed 65 signatures

What the petition asks

I am asking for an 'Eat Responsibly' campaign to be launched about consumption of meat, eggs and dairy products, similar to public awareness campaigns about responsible drinking. In addition, products containing meat, dairy and eggs should be required to display an 'Eat Responsibly' label.
The animal agriculture industry is responsible for being one of the leading causes driving climate change and rising global temperatures. Scientific evidence shows the negative effects on the environment as well as public health that the meat and dairy industries and products have, whether that be in the form of zoonotic diseases, or the direct negative impact a heavily meat and dairy-based diet can have on an individual’s health, which in turn puts more strain on public health systems.
