We want legislation introduced to restrict the energy cap so that it can rise by no more than the lowest of:
The rate of inflation
The average wage increase
The interest rate set by the Bank of England

Major UK listed energy companies are raking in billions of pounds of profit as many people of the UK choose between eating and heating.
Energy bills for consumers are hitting record highs as the big firms rake in record profits. These profits only benefit the executives and shareholders, who are paid millions of pounds.
Energy is essential and people should not be exploited in this way for profit. Restrictions on the energy cap in line with what people can afford would help fix this issue.
