End Sex Education in Primary Schools.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We undersigned call upon the Conservative government to end sex education in primary schools.
Children should be allowed to be children. Any form of sex education in primary schools is wholly inappropriate.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you are concerned about sex education in primary schools. However, sex education is not compulsory in primary, and parents are entitled to withdraw their children from sex education lessons in schools which choose to teach it, so we're not sure what it is you'd like the Government to do differently.

You can read guidance for primary schools on the teaching of sex education here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education/relationships-education-primary#sex-education-primary.
