What the petition asks
Issue and keep record of bicycle registration tags that must be displayed under the crossbar of any bicycle ridden on UK roads.
Also make it law that cyclists must carry third party insurance in case they strike and injure a more vulnerable pedestrian.

I want to government to do this for 1 reason.
It would help identify cyclists that break road traffic laws such as running red lights or not stopping to give way to pedestrians on crossings.
Only a few days ago I was crossing a road using a zebra crossing which is painted on the road as well as having 2 flashing light poles, I waited for traffic to stop, once it had stopped I proceeded to cross and got halfway when a cycle courier flew across the crossing less than 2 feet from me.
