Introduce subsidies and interest free loans for home solar energy systems

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Provide subsidies and interest free loans to support UK citizens who would like to have solar energy systems, but the cost upfront is prohibitive.
The initial capital investment (although this would be repayable loans for the most part) will be fairly large depending on uptake, but not crazy compared to all the support the gov is currently trying to provide. The benefits would last decades and reduce the UK energy deficit, help us become more self sufficient as well as massively accelerate the net zero targets set by the government. Give a person a fish, you feed them for one day, teach them how to fish and you’ll feed them for a lifetime

Why it was rejected
